Meet the Team

Kevin McIntyre : MPAC Manager

Kevin is the senior worker at MPAC and has been involved in the Voluntary Sector in Liverpool for 24 years. Kevin sits as an adviser on funding boards and also offers development advice to The Sector. Kevin along with Eileen were responsible for making MPAC’s 18,000 square foot building completely accessible. The buildings is one of few in  to comply with Disability Discrimination Standards (DDA).

Eileen Wong : MPAC Deputy Manager

As Deputy Manager Eileen is responsible for all the administration needs of the organisation. Eileen has worked with MPAC for over 20 years.

Ian Fisher : Training Co-ordinator

Ian supports community groups with their training and development needs and also offers support on funding applications and development of The Sector, Ian also sits as an adviser on funding boards . Ian has worked for MPAC for 8 years.

Les McCoy : Sales & Resource Worker

Les manages the arts and crafts shop, re-cycling facility and the loan equipment departments and is the first point of contact for MPAC’s members and customers. Les also has responsibilities for the maintenance of loan equipment and caretaking.

Billy Murphy : MPAC’s driver

Billy collects re-cycled non toxic goods from industry and also works in the MPAC arts and craft shop and equipment loan departments.

Billy Hall : MPAC’s receptionist & caretaker

Billy is your first point of contact when entering the building, he is also responsible for the caretaking and DIY of the building as well as re-cycling computers for community re use.

Pam Cooper : Building Maintenance

Pam is responsible for cleaning MPAC’s building as well as setting up meeting and training rooms.

Board Members & Trustees:

John Williams : MPAC Chairperson

John has been involved as a Board Member in most of the major regeneration projects taking place in the Speke/Garston area of Liverpool. He has been involved in the voluntary sector for 40 years and MPAC’s Chairperson for 15 of those.

John brings to MPAC a wide range of skills and knowledge that he has acquired in managing large-scale budgets and in the recruitment & managing of staff within these projects.

Maria Hornsby : MPAC Treasurer

Maria has over 20 years experience of working with young people and runs Rice Lane City Farm the only inner city farm in Liverpool. Maria has a city-wide knowledge of play, youth and community organisations and has a wide knowledge of the needs and concerns of young people and works continually on their behalf to improve facilities and opportunities.

Carol Bennett : MPAC Company Secretary

Carol developed the Granby Toxteth Activity Club providing “The Adventure Club” for young people aged 9-15 in Toxteth and surrounding districts.

John Albertina : MPAC Trustee

John has worked as a community development officer in the Vauxhall area for over ten years and as a result has a wide knowledge of community matters.

Karen Campbell : MPAC Trustee

Karen is a child development worker with 14 years experience of working directly with children and young people aged 5-25 years. As an experienced play work trainer and qualified adult educator Karen has vast experience of setting up community based play projects

Brian Kendall : MPAC Trustee

Brian has 36 years experience of working with children and young people both in schools and within Liverpool Youth & Community Sector. Brian has a wide knowledge of community organisations operating on Merseyside.

Christine Banks : MPAC Trustee

Christine has over 30 years experience of working with children and young people in the Marybone area and is a qualified youth worker. Christine has a wide knowledge of community issues and was elected as a Labour Councillor in Liverpool Central ward in 2008.

Tola Lee : MPAC Trustee

Tola has 36 years experience in both play and youth work and a good knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding Children issues. Tola has worked within disadvantaged communities in Liverpool and has also achieved Sign Language level 1.

Adam Kelwick : MPAC Trustee

Adam Kelwick has been involved in several community grass-roots organisations in a voluntary capacity since he was a teenager. As well as studying International Business and Management at Universities across Europe he is also a qualified Muslim Chaplain and involved with many diverse communities across Merseyside.

Adam sits on a number boards including Arabic Cultural Foundation he is also a governor of Smithdown Primary School. On a national level he manages the UK projects of Human Care International and is Founder and Director of Embrace Foundation.

Chris Whittington : MPAC Trustee

Chris is a qualified, recently retired, youth worker who worked at a youth club that offers year round provision. The club also offers full disabled access as well as junior and senior clubs.

Chris was responsible for programme planning, curriculum development, fund-raising, recruitment & training of volunteers.

Chris Sadly passed away 10 December 2010 his knowledge, enthuasism and positive character will be sadly missed by all.
